Reviews & A New Release Date

You know the "saying" – you wait for ages for a bus and then two come at once? Heh, guess what happened to me yesterday? No, sadly, all the buses I needed yesterday didn't turn up but that's another rant for another day…or for Twitter.

BUT what turned up were a plethora, yes, a PLETHORA of reviews for The Price of Success. And best of all, they didn't suck! No one wants to throw eggs at my head! In fact, readers seem to like Sasha and Marco's story! Yayyy!

"I really got into the two characters of this book. I thought it was amazing that the heroine was a racing car driver which in itself made her an exciting character that you wanted to read more about. Likewise, you could really sense the strength and the vulnerability of the hero which I credit fully to the author. Ms Blake wrote this book so well that you really felt all the emotions of the characters and the tension between them.
10/10" (ritat)

"I really liked the story .Maya Blake is the most promising M&B new author ! Can't wait to read her next book!" - (Erika Mendes)

"This is my first Maya Blake book and I was quite happy with it. Both characters are handled well however, I would have liked to hear more of what Rafael had to say in first person, being the main reason for the both the characters to meet in the first place and it seems who was instrumental after all in getting us to the final scene! 4 stars!" - (Sarina Thottathil)

"This was a promising debut novel although I had some conflicting views.
I'm not altogether sure that a female racing driver as the heroine will have mass appeal.
The characters were likeable although Marco became rather irritating in the latter part of the book which was more or less just a sex-fest and didn't really progress the story.
Without divulging anything, parts of the plot I didn't like and it was disappointing that there was no resolution regarding the behaviour of Sasha's ex-lover.
However, I particularly liked the style in which the book was written with continuing tension and good dialogue.
Overall I think this author shows good promise and I would look forward to the next novel.
Eight out of ten" - (rubcale)

"I really enjoyed reading this book and found it refreshing !! " - (Cammy Jones)

And this morning, my lovely CP sent me a link to yet another one from Goodreads. I think this is one is the best yet:

This novel was heartfelt, snarky and wonderful. I loved both hero and heroine, they had both been through similar tragedies and became better for them. The hero and heroine bounced sparks, passion and flame off one another and the ending was beautifully written as well. – Tia-Marie

The next bit of news is that my release date has been brought forward from 7 December to 1 December, which means The Price of Success will be in a bricks and mortar retailer near UK readers earlier than expected. I've been told it fits perfectly into a Christmas stocking. *wink wink*
